A family of five from Europe enjoyed an unforgettable Chan retreat at Yongtai Chan Meditation Centre of the Shaolin Temple.
They practiced meditation to calm their minds, learned fundamental Shaolin Kungfu forms and the Shaolin Shadow Hand Staff, visited the time-honored Yongtai Temple and the ancient Tang-dynasty pagoda, and savoured authentic temple vegetarian meals. The home-style breakfast, lunch and dinner delighted the whole family, opening their eyes to the charm of Chinese cuisine.
From airport pick-up and smooth check-in to drop-off at the end of their stay, thoughtful care throughout their journey wrapped them in a warm, homely atmosphere. Far from hurried sightseeing, this was a fully immersive cultural journey into the spirit of the Shaolin Temple and Shaolin Kungfu. The family shared that this experience brought them inner peace and a profound connection to traditional Chinese Chan and martial culture, a precious memory they will cherish forever.
